Chapter 4 of Ambulare
Ambulare is a side project that I’ve been working on every now and then since 2019. Those of you who have been around for a while will know that I sometimes just randomly drop a new installment of the Ambulare series… Well… here is another 🙂
What started as a rejected demo suite for a potential project turned into a way for me to take a bit of a musical walk, to experiment with sounds and soundscapes, to embark on a sort of meditation to gather my energies in between assignments.
It would seem that the aesthetic which started with the first release is the very same aesthetic which has been penetrating more and more of my work of late. It feels like I really did take a walk and that I liked where I arrived so much that I didn’t want to leave again. Thus I think I might just keep treading this ground for a while longer, for as long as it continues to inspire.
I’d love to invite you to drop by my Bandcamp page to have a listen / add it to your collection.
Ambulare IV will also be coming to all streaming music platforms shortly, but as always this does take a bit longer (depending on the platform as well).
Another Piano Solo
This month I’d also like to share with you the next solo piano work I’ve finished as part of an ongoing project to compose more music for solo piano. No recording of this one exists yet and I haven’t found a pianist to premiere it, so if any of you would like to take a crack at it, please let me know 🙂 I’d love to hear it in the hands of a real pianist (I can’t in good conscience call myself that! haha). Here’s a little sneak peak at the first page of the score…

If you’d like to grab a copy of the score for yourself, you can do so at my Bandcamp page …
It’ll also be available on Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct in the coming days, but do note that those webstores take just over half of the proceeds as commission, so obviously I’d always nudge you towards Bandcamp 🙂
That’s all from me for today. Thanks for lending me your ears and eyes!
